ABRAM-VILLAGE, P.E.I. — ABRAM-VILLAGE – Renee Gallant’s contributions on the volleyball court have earned her the Greco Pizza/Capt. Sub student-athlete of the month for May at Evangeline School.

The 16-year-old daughter of Jean-Paul and Kathy Gallant of Cape Egmont played the middle position in both spring and fall volleyball out of Evangeline School.
A Grade 10 student, Renee also competed in badminton last year.
“Renee has always been a high-level athlete,” said Evangeline School athletic director Jason Arsenault. “She has been playing volleyball since she came here.
“She is extremely coachable, listens to instructions well and works hard to imply what is being told to her.
“Renee is also extremely dependable when it comes to showing up and getting the job done.”
Renee’s future plans, following graduation from high school, include attending university and pursuing a career in medicine.
