CORNWALL – The Summerside Waterwise Spartans of the P.E.I. Bantam Tackle Football League and Cooke Insurance Clippers of the P.E.I. Varsity Tackle Football League will play their first road games of the 2018 season Friday.

Both teams will visit the Cornwall Timberwolves at the Terry Fox Sports Complex. The bantam game will begin at 6 p.m., followed by the varsity contest at 8 p.m.
The Spartans and Clippers are both 1-0 after impressive season debuts at home Sept. 14. The Spartans trimmed the Kings County Steelers 63-0, and the Clippers blanked the Souris Wildcats 45-0.
The Cornwall bantams are the defending Ed Hilton Bowl champions, and the Spartans will be looking to avenge last season’s championship game loss.
The Clippers, meanwhile, are expecting a very tough game against the talented Timberwolves. Summerside is looking, once again, for its defence to set the tone and give the offence good field position throughout the game.
