SUMMERSIDE – The Summerside Waterwise Spartans did all the scoring in the first half.

Summerside Waterwise Spartans defensive lineman Breton Brown, green jersey, focuses on tackling the Kings County Steelers’ Dawson Carter during a Papa John’s P.E.I. Bantam Tackle Football League game on Friday night. Brown and the Spartans’ defence did not give up a single point in a 38-0 victory.

The Spartans built a big halftime lead, and cruised to a 38-0 win over the Kings County Steelers on Friday night. The Papa John’s P.E.I. Bantam Tackle Football League game was played at Eric Johnston Field.

Three touchdowns

Running back Ethan Lawless scored three running touchdowns to lead the way offensively for the Spartans, who improved their league-leading record to 5-0 (won-lost).

Receivers Kyle Cameron and Ethan Haakman each chipped in with one major, and Braydon Lawless had a punt return for a score. 

 

Face Charlottetown

The Spartans’ next game is against the Charlottetown Privateers on Sunday, Oct. 23.
