Indianapolis running back Marlon Mack fractured his right hand in a 33-13 Colts win over Jacksonville, per multiple reports.
He’ll reportedly miss at least this week’s huge game Thursday night at Houston for the lead in the AFC South, as both clubs are 6-4.
Mack ran for 109 yards on just 14 carries, until leaving with the injury early in the third quarter. Jonathan Williams more than picked up where Mack left off, finishing with 116 yards on just 13 carries.
“We feel really good about all the running backs we have,” Colts head coach Frank Reich said. “We felt like we really needed to get the running game back on track.”
Indy’s 264 rushing-yards total was the 12 th most in franchise history, and it was only the fourth time in Colts history that two players ran for 100 yards, and the first time since 1985.
