“We have a good team with a nice mix of veterans and rookies,” offered Green Spartans co-coach Paul Quinlan. “They have been working hard in practice, and it showed today (Sunday).
“We have two good atom teams here in Summerside, and football is really growing here, especially at this level. The kids love it.”
Chisholm sparks offence
At Eric Johnston Field, quarterback Max Chisholm scored three touchdowns on the ground while fullback Luke Quinlan had two majors and wide receiver Kolby MacDonald had one.
The Green Spartans’ defence was outstanding as Ben Murphy and Logan Rogers each registered a couple of sacks.
The Green Spartans led 22-0 at halftime.
The White Spartans will travel to Sackville, N.B., to take on the Titans in another exhibition game on Saturday.
