After road wins in Rollo Bay

ROLLO BAY – The Summerside Cooke Insurance Clippers and Summerside Waterwise Spartans remained undefeated on Saturday afternoon.

The Clippers posted a 51-0 road victory over the Souris Wildcats in the P.E.I. Varsity Tackle Football League, and the Spartans topped the host Kings County Steelers 48-6 in P.E.I. Bantam Tackle Football League action.
Both Summerside teams are now 4-0 (won-lost) heading into Sunday’s road games against the Charlottetown Privateers. The bantam matchup, which is for first place, will start at 1 p.m., followed by the varsity contest at 3 p.m.

Clippers 51 Wildcats 0
Clippers quarterback Nic Gunning threw for four touchdowns to lead the way. Charlie Turner had two receiving touchdowns and added another on the ground. Running back Caleb Dawson added one receiving touchdown and one rushing.
Receivers Kyle Cameron and Ethan Haakman has one touchdown each. Dawson also kicked a 25-yard field goal.

Spartans 48 Steelers 6
Spartans running back Kieran Arsenault lead the way once again with three touchdowns. Summerside quarterback Lucas Doucette had two rushing scores, and Evan MacDougall chipped in with two rushing touchdowns.
