SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. – Under the command of Adam Merner, Fast N Victorious led at every station and bested his rivals in the featured pace on a special holiday Monday harness racing program at Red Shores at Summerside Raceway.

Merner sent the Stephen Gass-trainee to the front in the $2,200 featured pace, and laid down fractions of 28.3, 57.4 and 1:26.3 with no serious challenge, before stopping the clock in 1:57.1. Second went to White Fish Flash (driven by Norris Rogers) while Slide Guitar (David Dowling) was third to complete the $170.00 triactor.
Kent and Owen Livingston of Cornwall hold the ownership papers of Fast N Victorious.
It was one of three wins on the program for Merner as he also scored with Anzula in 2:01.4 for trainer Ken Wilkie of Stratford and with Souverain in 1:59.3 for Phil Sizer of Kensington.

Driving hat trick
Dowling had a trio of trips to the winner’s circle after hitting the wire first with CL La Rousse in 1:59.3 for Reg Ferguson of Charlottetown, Soccer Hanover in 1:57.4 for Leith Waite of Summerside and with The Warden in 2:00 for trainer Chris MacKay of French River. The Warren Grove driver remains in firm grasp of the Summerside driving standings as he looks for his first title at the Prince County oval.
Live racing continues at Red Shores Summerside on Sunday, Oct. 14, at 1 p.m.
