SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. — A quick start sparked the Summerside United to a 3-1 victory over RC United in a Subway P.E.I. Under-18 Girls Soccer League (Premier Division) game Tuesday night.

Hannah LeClair opened the scoring in the third period and Julia Smith gave Summerside a 2-0 advantage in the 23rd minute.
The score remained that way until late in the second half, when Abby Christopher increased Summerside’s lead to 3-0 in the 86th minute. Carly Thompson got RC United on the board in the 89th minute.
The contest was played at Eric Johnston Field in Summerside.
