Dobson has strong showing for Islanders

SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. — Summerside native Noah Dobson had a strong showing for the New York Islanders on Saturday.

The 19-year-old defenceman earned an assist, was a plus-3 and registered three shots on goal in just under 22 minutes of playing time in the Islanders’ 4-3 loss to the host New Jersey Devils.
Dobson also earned an assist on a late tying goal in the Islanders’ 3-2 overtime win over the Philadelphia Flyers on Sept. 17.
The Islanders selected the son of Andrew and Jenny Dobson in the first round, 12th overall, in the 2018 National Hockey League Entry Draft.
Forward Ross Johnston of Suffolk played 12:50 and picked up six penalty minutes for the Islanders.
