SUMMERSIDE – Kalim DesRoches was the difference-maker for the Western Regals on Wednesday night.
DesRoches scored the only two goals of the third period in a 4:28 span to lift the Regals to a 3-1 win over the host Summerside Capitals in P.E.I. Midget AAA Hockey League play at Credit Union Place.
Chandler DesRoches also dented the twine for the Regals, who improved to 4-3-0 (won-lost-tied). Tristan Cahill, Ethan Oliver, Oliver Smallman and James Doyle contributed assists.
Parker Gallant, who was set up by Blake Gallant, netted the lone goal for Summerside (2-4-0).
Western led 1-0 after the opening period, and the teams entered the second intermission tied 1-1.
