PORT HOOD, N.S. — Dylan Chisholm’s four-point performance, which included two goals, helped guide the Cape Breton West Islanders to a 7-4 win over the Sydney Mitsubishi Rush in Nova Scotia Eastlink Major Midget Hockey League action.

James Beaton found the back of the net twice for the Islanders (11-19-0-1), while Bryce Thomson, Lewis Taylor and Jacob Cook added single markers in front of the hometown fans at the Al MacInnis Sports Centre in Port Hood.

Coby McCarron, Brendan MacRitchie, Drew MacIntyre and Brandon Clarke responded with goals for the Rush (7-21-3-0).

Cape Breton West’s Kenzie MacPhail made 21 saves, while Jack Cashen turned aside 25 of 32 shots for Sydney.
