PROFIT’S CORNER – The Charlottetown Capitals Team One emerged victorious in the third week of action in the Volleyball P.E.I. 16-Under/18-Under Spring League.
The Capitals prevailed in a close match against top-seeded Red Mudd in the semifinals, and then defeated the Summerside Slammers 20-16 in a very close final. The Slammers defeated the West Prince Islanders in the other semifinal.
Red Mudd would go on and defeat the Islanders 18-14 in the bronze-medal match.
The Islanders hosted the five-team tournament at M.E. Callaghan Intermediate School.
The next tournament will be held at Souris Regional High School.
