RED DEER, Alta. — Top spot in pool C is on the line tonight as Prince Edward Island plays Newfoundland and Labrador in a matchup of undefeated teams at the Canada Games in Red Deer, Alta.

Game time is 7 p.m. Atlantic.

The winner will play the fourth-place team from pool A, which consists of Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia, while the loser gets the fourth-place team from pool B, consisting of Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba and Saskatchewan. Those two games will be played Tuesday at 11:30 p.m. Atlantic.

P.E.I. improved to 3-0 with a 12-0 thumping of Nunavut earlier Monday.

Josh Smith made 13 saves for the shutout.

Captain Jack Campbell had the hat trick while Reid Vos and Seth MacLeod each had a pair. Singles went to Simon Hughes, Josh Lund, Cameron MacLean, Marshall Gallant and Jacob Squires.

Zach Biggar had four assists while Campbell had three. Connor Keough, Isaac Vos, Max Chisholm and Hughes each had two helpers while singles went to Lund, Reid Vos, Alex Graham and Harrison James.

P.E.I. held 2-0 and 7-0 period leads.
