POWNAL – Jack Campbell’s hat trick led the Eastern Express to a win in the P.E.I. Major Bantam AAA Hockey League on Thursday night.
The Express posted a 4-2 decision over the Mid-Isle Matrix at the Pownal Sports Centre.
Aiden Arsenault also scored for the Express, who is 12-8-4 (won-lost-tied). Affiliated player Harry Clements collected three assists while single helpers went to Dylan Blackett, Avery Brown and Jude Campbell.
Harrison James and Calvin MacWilliams answered for the Matrix (3-21-0). Reese Wyand and Kyle Mason assisted.
The Express held period advantages of 1-0 and 3-2.
Drew Chapman earned the goaltending over Josh Smith.
