SUMMERSIDE – It has been a busy Grade 11 year for Rebecca Procter of Summerside.

The 17-year-old daughter of Michelle and the late Brian Procter is very involved with both the athletic program and school organizations at Three Oaks Senior High in Summerside. As a result of her efforts and contributions, Rebecca has been chosen as the Greco Pizza/Capt. Sub student-athlete of the month.
Rebecca wears the green and gold colours of Three Oaks in badminton, where she competes in singles; senior A basketball, where she played forward, and she played defence on the Three Oaks girls’ hockey team, which won the Kensington Intermediate-Senior High School invitational friendship hockey tournament on Saturday. Rebecca previously represented Three Oaks in senior A soccer and rugby.
“The great thing about Rebecca is that she is interested in her success,” said Three Oaks badminton coach Neil Moore. “When something is not working out with a drill or a game, she identifies these problems and we work through it.
“Badminton is about thinking fast, making wise choices and executing. She has come a long way coping with the frantic, high-speed nature of the sport.”
Rebecca is also a member of the Three Oaks student government, student leadership and athletic council.
Outside of school, Rebecca plays midget A girls’ hockey in Summerside, along with summer soccer with the Summerside United. She also volunteers at Somerset Manor.
Following graduation from high school, Rebecca plans to pursue a career with the RCMP.
