Mike Moustakas, Yasmani Grandal and Ben Gamel drove in eighth-inning runs as Milwaukee broke a 4-4 tie, and five Brewers relievers shut out the Arizona Diamondbacks over six innings in a 7-4 win in Phoenix on Sunday.
Milwaukee trailed 4-0 after three innings but light-hitting Tyler Saladino tied the game with a grand slam in the fourth inning.
In the eighth inning, Moustakas followed a leadoff triple by Keston Hiura with a hard single up the middle off Yoan Lopez (1-4) to give the Brewers a 5-4 lead. Grandal launched a shot off the wall in center field for a pinch-hit RBI double, and Gamel's single completed the scoring.
The Brewers won three of four in the series and have five wins in their past six games.
Freddy Peralta (4-3), the fourth Brewers pitcher, picked up the win. Josh Hader worked the ninth for his 22nd save. The Brewers' bullpen struck out eight in six innings, scattering three hits and three walks.
Hiura and Moustakas each finished with two hits and extended their hitting streaks to 11 games.
The Brewers fell behind early against Diamondbacks rookie left-hander Alex Young, who had won all three of his starts dating to his major league debut on June 27. He allowed just a hit and a walk through three innings and led 4-0.
In the fourth inning, however, Jesus Aguilar walked, Orlando Arcia singled and Gamel walked. Saladino, who began the day hitting .102 with no homers or RBIs, ripped a grand slam to left field.
Young gave up four runs on three hits in four innings, with three walks and five strikeouts.
Brandon Woodruff, a first-time All-Star who sought his 12th win, struggled through his shortest outing of the season. He left two pitches into the fourth inning with what the team later said was a strained left oblique muscle. The injury will send Woodruff to the 10-day injured list.
In three innings, Woodruff allowed four runs on six hits, with two walks and three strikeouts.
The Diamondbacks scored in all three of those innings, getting a sacrifice fly by Christian Walker in the first. Alex Avila blasted a long two-run homer to center field in the second inning, his sixth home run of the season and the 100th in his 11-year career.
Arizona added a run in the third inning on Eduardo Escobar's second hit of the game. Ketel Martel went 2-for-3 and walked twice for the D-backs.
