SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. — The 2019 Atlantic midget (18-under) AA baseball championship will be decided at Queen Elizabeth Park’s Legends Field.

The five-team tournament, featuring provincial representatives from P.E.I., New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland and Labrador, along with a host team, will take place from Aug. 30 to Sept. 1.
Summerside Baseball, previously the Summerside Area Baseball Association, in partnership with Sport Entertainment Tourism Summerside (SETS), submitted a bid to Baseball Atlantic and Baseball P.E.I. to host the tournament.
“Baseball P.E.I. is excited to have Summerside hosting the 2019 Baseball Atlantic 18U AA championship,” said Baseball P.E.I. executive director Randy Byrne. “Summerside has a long history of hosting regional, Atlantic and national championships and is known for its strong organization and ability to put on high-quality events for all players and teams attending.”
Summerside Baseball president and general manager Tanner Doiron added, “One could say we are just continuing to build off a tradition; a tradition that was created by hard work and dedicated individuals in this great city.”
