Dowling’s pitching keys
Summerside midget team’s win

SUMMERSIDE – Owen Dowling’s strong pitching performance led the Summerside Township Team Two Chevys to a 7-4 win over the Charlottetown Royals.
Dowling recorded six strikeouts over six innings in the P.E.I. Midget A Baseball League game at Queen Elizabeth Park’s Legends Field recently. The contest was called after six innings due to the new time limit rule.
Carson Arsenault (2-3, triple, double, run scored, three runs batted in), Rave Ferguson (1-2, run scored) and Brett Martin (1-2) led Summerside at the plate.
Zach Hammill (2-3, run scored), Jacob MacPhee (1-2, triple) and Caleb Waugh (1-2, run scored) were the Royals’ top offensive players. Harrison Trenholm and Jacob MacPhee were on the hill for Charlottetown.

Peewee Chevys’ offence
on fire in Stratford
SUMMERSIDE – The Summerside Team One Chevys came out swinging on the road against the Stratford A’s in a recent P.E.I. Peewee A Baseball League game.
The Chevys posted a 12-1 win at the Upper MacNeill Field in Stratford.
Issac Mosher led the attack with a monstrous 225-foot home run over the fence and finished with a 1-for-2 batting summary. Other top batters for the Chevys were Riley Gallant (3-3, inside-the-park home run and three runs batted in) and Deacon Wagner (3-3, double, inside-the-park home run, four runs batted in).
Winning pitcher Alex Day recorded 13 strikeouts in a complete-game performance.
Top batters for the A's were Emmett Powers and Daniel Ferguson.
Cole Doyle was the pitcher of record for Stratford.

Bedeque Blue Jackets
improve record to 2-0

KINKORA – The Bedeque Blue Jackets edged the Western Mariners 8-7 recently to improve to 2-0 (won-lost) in the P.E.I. Mosquito AA Baseball League.
Karson Webster (1-3), Alex Gaudet (1-2, double), Mason Gaudet (1-2 ) and Caden Gallant (1-2) were Bedeque’s top hitters.
Saylor Smallman, who had an inside-the-park home run, Skylar DesRoches, Rowan Colwill, Marc Gamble and AJ Pita all had 1-for-3 batting summaries for Western.
Alex Gaudet, Carter Duffy and Austin Keough shared the pitching chores for Bedeque. Skylar DesRoches, Jason Chaisson and Max Gamble worked from the hill for the Mariners.
