PERSONAL PRE-AUTHORIZED DEBIT (PAD)

I/we authorize Journal-Pioneer to debit the bank account provided, regular monthly payments for the full amount of the newspapers delivered, plus requested tips to carrier, to be processed on the 1st or 15th day of each month or the next business day.

I/we may revoke my/our authorization at any time subject to providing notice of two (2) days. To obtain a simple cancellation form, or for more information on my/our right to cancel a PAD agreement, I/we may contact my/our financial institution or visit cdnpay.ca.

I/we waive my/our right to receive pre-notification of the amount of the PAD and agree that I/we do not require advance notice of the amount of PADs before the debit is processed. Although Journal-Pioneer has standard monthly rates, situations may arise where a different amount may be payable, depending on where a temporary suspension or activation falls within the billing cycle. This would be reflected in the next month’s debit. However, I/we will be sent an initial confirmation letter with rates based on delivery as ordered.

I/we have certain recourse rights if any debit does not comply with this agreement. For example, I/we have the right to receive reimbursement for any PAD that is not authorized or is not consistent with this PAD agreement. To obtain more information on my/our recourse rights I/we may contact our financial institution or visit cdnpay.ca.
