As we receive our T4s, T5s and other receipts for our 2019 income tax returns, the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) has decided not to send income tax forms or guides to Canada Post outlets any longer.

While many Canadians file their income tax returns online, there are still a significant number that use the paper forms and submit them via the mail, due to no high-speed internet access, not being computer literate or filing a deceased person’s last return, among other reasons.

According to CRA, forms and guides can be viewed or downloaded at canada.ca/taxes-general-package. Starting Feb. 24, the forms and guides can be ordered by calling 1-855-330-3305.

If you are concerned about CRA eliminating the convenience of being able to pick up tax form and guides at Canada Post outlets, you can contact Members of Parliament by mail (postage-free) at the House of Commons, Ottawa, Ont., K1A 0A6. If you want their other contact information, you can look it up online at parl.gc.ca or get it by calling 1-866-599-4999.
