STORY CONTINUES BELOW THESE SALTWIRE VIDEOS
In Wayne Young’s column (Calling it a (news) day, Feb. 22), his final one for The Guardian, he mentions that I hired him many years ago to write a regular column on issues of public interest to Prince Edward Islanders. He is correct in saying that, and I will take credit for my wise hiring decision of 12 years ago.
What I cannot take credit for is the wisdom, compassion and reasonableness he dispensed to Islanders over the many years. His voice will be missed. Thank you Wayne.
