I applaud Premier King’s decision to open our border to seasonal residents and say it’s about time since we currently do not have the virus here. Yes, there is a chance we may get a few cases of COVID-19 but I believe most seasonal residents will play by the rules and if not, there are a lot of snitches to keep them in line. Seasonal residents pay more taxes than full-time residents and need to take care of their properties just like the rest of us. I am tired of this isolation and look forward to some sense of normalcy returning to our borders.

I have enjoyed having the park to myself along with a few others during the last few months, but hope the national parks will soon take down their fences and roadblocks and allow the people once again to enjoy our beautiful beaches. After all, there is plenty of room for everybody.

Gaylene White,
Full-time resident of Stanhope, P.E.I.
