Zionists deny that Israel has implemented racist, Apartheid-like policies directed against the Palestinian population segregating them from the Jewish population. However, the liberal Israeli newspaper Haaretz recently carried a story (Jan. 18, 2019) where it reported that the Barzilai Medical Center in Ashkelon in southern Israel, requires all Palestinians to get off the public bus passing through hospital grounds, and separates them from Israelis. Palestinians are then required to go through security checks, while Israeli passengers continue their journey uninterrupted. This is racial profiling with a vengeance.
As well, a new highway and ring road was recently opened in the central part of the occupied West Bank. It was constructed with a huge 24-foot high barrier separating Israeli and Palestinian motorists. It is called the "Apartheid Road" by the locals. Dozens of segregated and settler-only roads already exist in the Occupied Territories (Haaretz, Jan. 10, 2019). Haaretz reports humiliating examples of racism and intimidation by Israeli authorities and troops on an almost daily basis.
