The new program started by public libraries on P.E.I., loaning out MP3 players loaded with personalized playlists to Islanders living with dementia or other cognitive or physical conditions, is wonderful. Having a whole playlist of well-loved music from years gone by creates hours and hours of brain stimulation and pleasure for these folks. As a partner in care, I am so grateful to the library for doing the work to make such a helpful and supportive resource available.
