STORY CONTINUES BELOW THESE SALTWIRE VIDEOS
On Nov. 13, around 5:30 p.m., my front door bell rang and outside stood a young girl, I would guess in her early teens, holding a bouquet of flowers.
“These are for you. It is World Kindness Day,” she said.
Then she departed and got into an SUV waiting for her at the curb before I had a chance to thank her and find out more about this benign day in the calendar that I have never heard of in my 94 years.
When I looked up World Kindness Day on my computer I found that Nov. 13 is indeed celebrated in a number of countries by performing random acts of kindness.
I think it is something well worth promoting and I’d like to publicly thank the young lady who came to my door.
