I am writing this letter to defend the front desk employee at the Charlottetown Inn & Conference Centre - the management is placing all the blame on this employee when in fact she was probably directed to treat our West Prince people in this manner.

It is unfair to do this and the blame should be on the hotel management. No employee would have done this unless she was told to do so. The Journal Pioneer was right when they said that we have many fine, generous and caring people from West Prince as well as all over the Island. The perpetrator should be refused admitting at this establishment which would be understandable - and I do not blame the people in these areas for not supporting this type of treatment - message to the management of the Inn - do not blame this employee for your mistakes.

Rose Anne Gaudet,

Summerside
