The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Tuesday, April 23, 2019, of Roger DesRoche, of Summerside, aged 70 years. Born in Summerside, he was the son of the late Alyre and Rosie (Gallant) DesRoche. Survived by his children Michelle (Shawn Green), John (Nicole), and Cory; grandchildren Jared MacKendrick (Tamara Smith), Sydnee-Lynn, Dalton and Amelia DesRoche; great-granddaughter Brooklynn Gaudet; special friend Mary Biggar; brother Paul “Beeker” (Linda); sisters Sharon (Blair) Coughlin, Arlene (Ken) Bryanton, Pat (Joe) Gagne, Jean DesRoche and Shelly MacInnis (Sterling Jay); and by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his wife Linda (Arsenault) DesRoche; son John, in infancy; brothers Charles and Walter (Gail) DesRoche; sister Joan DesRoche; father and mother-in-law John “Jimmy” and Phoebe (Doe) Arsenault; sisters-in-law Joann (Victor) Ranni and Shirley Anne (Lloyd) Arsenault; and by his nephew Victor Ranni Jr. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, until Saturday, then to St. Paul’s Church, Summerside, where funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Interment later in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Summerside. Visiting hours Friday from 5-8 p.m. Memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. www.moase.ca
