The death occurred peacefully at home on Saturday February 3, 2018 of Leslie Herbert Paynter of Kensington aged 75 years. Born in Summerside March 1, 1942, son of the late Francis and Christine Paynter. Husband of Dorothy (Connick) Paynter. Father of Cindy (Buddy Farish), Dale (Karen), Sue (Kevin) Mann, Corey (Kelly Cole). Special Grandfather of Jeremy, Russel (Heather), Christine (Darcy DesRoches), Crystal, Roger (Kayla), Carrie (Leon MacDonald), Jason (Sarah) Mann, Ryan Mann (Kelly Yeo) and Blake Lannigan, as well as his 12 great grandchildren. Brother of Shirley Paynter, Esther (Hugh) MacEachern, Donnie (Sandra), Lyman, Linda (Cal) Durdle. Brother-in-law of Audrey Connick, Lorraine MacDonald, Donna (Paul) Clow, Jill Connick (Victor Cormier). Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Son in Law of the late Lewis and Ethel Connick. Predeceased by daughter Carol Ann, sisters-in-law Goldie Coffey, Zelda Connick, Doris Phiney, Debbie Connick and Diane Olson. Brothers-in-law Joe MacDonald, Mike Coffey and Clarence Paynter. Resting at the Davison Funeral Home Kensington for private family visitation. A public funeral service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel Wednesday at 2 p.m. Interment in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Indian River.
