THOMPSON, Evelyn L. Surrounded by family, at the Summerset Manor Summerside on Friday November 15, 2019 of Evelyn Lillian (MacDonald) Thompson formerly of Fountain Road aged 83 years. Born in Halifax July 12, 1936 daughter of the late Allan Joseph and Evelyn Harriett (Stewart) MacDonald. Wife of the late Marshall Thompson. Mother of Stephen (Martha) Thompson, Saint John and Sonya Thompson (Kevin Stewart) Fountain Road. Grandmother of Christopher Moase (Valerie Chase), Angela Moase ( Anthony Gougen), Sean Thompson and Leah Thompson. Great-grandmother of Landon, Mya, Georgia, Aubrey and Clara. Sister-in-law Enid MacDonald, Eva Muirhead, Jean Sherren Burt and Layton (Jean) Thompson, and Jean Thompson. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brother Allan MacDonald, half brother John Muirhead, sister-in-law Ruby Porter and brother-in-law Eric Thompson. Evelyn was a long time member of the Order of Eastern Star where she served as Past Worthy Grand Matron of Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. Resting at the Davison Funeral Home Kensington, no visitation by personal request. A private funeral service for family and close friends will be held Monday in the Davison Funeral Home Chapel. Interment in People’s Cemetery Kensington. If so desired contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or the Prince County Hospital Foundation.
