CAMERON, Eleanor The death occurred at her residence in Wellington on Friday, February 21st, 2020 of Eleanor Louise Cameron (née Gilbert) at the age of 76 years. She was the daughter of the late Tommy Gilbert and the late Mary Ann Gilbert (née Fougère) of Souris PEI and the chosen daughter of the late Gilbert Gallant and the late Rose Gallant (née Hashie) of St Chrysostome PEI. Left to cherish fond memories is her son Glenn Gallant, daughters Glenda Wright (Jimmy – deceased) and Cindy Silliker (Grant Milligan). She is also survived by her sister Ruth Birt (Everett – deceased), sisters-in-law Orella (Julien), Theresa (Jack – deceased) and Doreen (John - deceased). Eleanor will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Bradley, Brett, Nicholas, Daniel, Kirsty, Jonathan, Victoria, Natasha, Amanda, Angela and by two great-grandchildren Xander and Leon. She was predeceased by her 1st husband Elmer Gallant and her 2nd husband Jim Cameron, her brothers and sisters Joe, Charlie, Hank, Andy, Joyce Alchorn, Dorothy Kiss, Jenny Perry, Jimmy and by her in-laws Cyril, Belone, Alyre, Elzie, Edward, Johnny and Anna. Eleanor was an active member of the Wellington Legion Branch #17 and was a big bingo fan. Resting at the Évangéline Funeral Home in Urbainville, until Saturday, February 29th then to the Summerside Church of the Nazarene, 156 Fitzroy Street, for funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Interment will take place at the Saint-Philippe et Saint-Jacques Church cemetery at a later date. Hours of visitations at the Évangéline Funeral Home on Friday, February 28th from 6 to 9 pm only. Wellington Legion Branch #17 will hold a legion service at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Memorial donations in Eleanor’s memory made to the Cancer Society or the Heart & Stroke Foundation or to a charity of your choice will be greatly appreciated.
