At the Prince County Hospital Summerside on Thursday February 7, 2019 of E. Jean Paynter formerly of Springfield aged 89 years. Born in Freetown, September 22, 1929 daughter of the late Edmund and Bessie (Andrews) Stavert. Mother of Wanda (Joe) Ferguson; Velda Paynter, Garth Paynter, Marsha Paynter, and Darren Paynter (Lisa). Grandmother of 9 Grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Sister of Ruth Mountain, Olive Jollimore, Leota (Keith) Dykeman and Lois Daley, sister-in-law of Elmer Cannon, James Brown and Gladys Stavert. Also survived by many nieces, and nephews. Predeceased by the father of her children Vernon H. Paynter, her son Carl Paynter and brothers Walter (Mae) and Albert Stavert, sisters Pearl Cannon and Edythe Brown, brothers-in-law Robert (Bob) Jollimore, Robert Mountain and Bill Daley. Resting at the Davison Funeral Home Kensington for visitation on Sunday from 1 to 2:15 p.m., immediately followed by Funeral Service in the Davison Funeral Home Chapel at 2:30 p.m. Interment in Kensington People’s Cemetery.
