SUMMERSIDE – Enman’s Audio Video has been part of the Sumemerside community for more than 50 years and Thursday night they got a little indication of how much the community appreciates them.

Enman’s took home the Choose Summerside Award for People’s Choice at the annual Greater Summerside Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards.

The event was sold out.

“I love it,” said Bob Picard, owner of Enman’s.

“It’s nice to know that the people appreciate what they’re getting at Enman’s and we really strive hard to make sure that they are happy when they are here. Customer service is where it’s at.”

There was a total of seven awards handed out throughout the evening.

The verifier of the vote results for the awards noted that there were some close races this year. In half of the categories the top two finishers were within two votes of each other.

Dan Kutcher, chamber president, noted the quality and diversity of this year’s nominees.

“A fabulous collection of individuals, truly representative of the Summerside business community. Truly representative of the Summerside business community and all the good things that happening here now and all the good things that are coming down in the future,” said Kutcher.

“I think you’re starting to see a more diverse set of products and services being nominated because I think Summerside is getting more diverse in terms of its business. People are trying some new things.”
