Single vehicle accident claims life of Georgetown man

Alberry Plains – A 34-year-old Georgetown area man is dead following a single vehicle rollover, and his passenger, a 33-year-old woman from Charlottetown was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Kings District RCMP responded to the accident on Route 3, Alberry Plains and the intersection of Glenco Road, on Friday at 8.15 p.m.

The coroner's office and the RCMP will continue their investigations, and a traffic analyst that attended will complete a scene examination.

Road conditions were ruled out as not a factor in the collision.

RCMP, Vernon River Fire Department, Island EMS and Department of Highways attended the scene.
