The new library is located at 57 Central Street and will provide more than twice the space of the current library. The current library, including the book drop, located at 192 Water Street, is now closed as of Nov. 20. All library items borrowed the week prior to closing were checked out until the new library opens in December.

During the closure, the public will still have access to a full slate of library services at the 25 other public libraries across Prince Edward Island. Other public libraries in the Summerside area include Bibliothèque publique J.-Henri-Blanchard in Summerside, Kensington Heritage Library, Borden-Carleton Public Library, Kinkora Public Library, and Tyne Valley Public Library. For more information about the hours and locations of these libraries, visit www.library.pe.ca

We look forward to welcoming you to the new library in December. Follow us on Facebook and check out our website www.library.pe.ca for further information about the move and the reopening of the library.
