For many Islanders, the unofficial start of spring is the opening of the angling season on April 15.

There are more than 10,000 angling licenses sold annually across the Island, and the of people fishing is higher than this because children under 16 do not require a license.

Angling licenses can be purchased at local vendors across the province, at Access PEI sites and online.
