Reading Recovery celebrates 20 years on P.E.I.

A celebration was held in Charlottetown last month to celebrate 20 years of Reading Recovery implementation on P.E.I.  
Current and former students and parents talked about how it has positively impacted their lives.
Sheila Barnes, president of the Canadian Institute of Reading Recovery, presented Reading Recovery leaders Lorna Ansems and Jeannine Tremblay with a certificate of recognition. 
People also enjoyed eating celebration cake, taking photos and sharing stories.
The event was well attended by current and retired teachers, principals, teacher leaders, liaison administrators, trainers and Department of Education and Lifelong Learning staff, students and parents.
