CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — A P.E.I. woman who stole a razor and blades from a grocery store and missed two court dates was recently given a suspended sentence.

Shianne Donna Marie Ashford, 26, appeared before Judge Jeff Lantz in provincial court in Charlottetown where she entered a guilty plea.

The court heard that on Nov. 29, 2019, Ashford took a razor and blades valued at $40 from a Sobeys store.

She later missed two court dates.

With the suspended sentence, Ashford will be on probation for one year during which time she must stay away from the store where she committed the theft.
