SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. — A new summer exhibit at the Eptek Art and Culture Centre in Summerside has been inspired by nature.
“P.E.I. Nature Inspires Craft” is presented in partnership with the P.E.I. Crafts Council, features fine craft inspired by the Island’s natural history.
Island artisans took inspiration from artifacts and created something new.
The inspiration artifacts include birds, plants, nests, fossils and bones.
The exhibit will display fine craft of all kinds, including woodworking, rug hooking, felt pieces, ceramics and more – right alongside the artifacts that inspired them.
“P.E.I. Nature Inspires Craft” will be on display throughout the summer until October.
The centre is located at 130 Heather Moyse Drive on the Summerside waterfront.
June hours of operation are as follows: Tuesdays to Fridays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sundays, 12-4 p.m.
