Queens District RCMP has charged a man after he allegedly attempted to break and enter into a shed on the Warren Grove Road at 10:45 p.m. Nov. 25.

When confronted by the property owner and neighbors, the man pointed a firearm at one of the men and uttered threats.

A struggle ensued and the suspect was pinned against a vehicle until police arrived.

The suspect was subsequently arrested and taken into custody without further incident.

Out of caution for the suspect's mental health, he was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital where he was assessed and admitted.

The man will appear in court at a later date and will face charges including but not limited to robbery, uttering threats, possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace and trespass at night.
