CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — The host of 7-Eleven That’s Hockey is returning to co-MC a fundraising gala for Special Olympics P.E.I.

This will mark Gino Reda’s 19th year taking part in the Enriching Lives Gala, Joining him as co-MC is Special Olympics athlete Paul Phillips.

Reda has been a mainstay on TSN for over 25 years. His show is Canada’s No. 1 daily hockey magazine show on all the latest hockey news.

Reda joined TSN in 1988 as a reporter and was quickly promoted to host of Sportscentre (then called SportsDesk). He anchored more than 3,000 shows over 12 years before taking over the reins of 7-Eleven That’s Hockey in 2002.

During his tenure, Reda has hosted numerous sporting events, including the World Juniors, FIFA World Cup and Olympic Games.

Additional celebrities confirmed for the 2019 Enriching Lives Gala presented by Evan Wynn Kosiner include, L.A. Kings defenseman Dion Phaneuf, Olympic gold medalist for ice dance Tessa Virtue, Cleveland Monsters’ Brett Gallant and Chicago Wolves’ Alex Gallant.
