CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — A Charlottetown woman who was caught driving drunk after a report from the public was recently fined $1,000 and banned from driving for one year.
Deborah A. Burns, 64, appeared before Judge John Douglas in provincial court in Charlottetown where she pleaded guilty to drunk driving.
Crown attorney Jeff MacDonald told the court that on Oct. 19 at around 7:15 p.m., the police responded to a report of a possible impaired driver.
The court heard the police arrested Burns who later provided breathalyzer samples above the legal limit.
Along with the fine, Burns must pay a $300 victim surcharge.
