CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — A 35-year-old P.E.I. man was sentenced to 195 days in jail for dangerous driving and not doing what he was ordered to do by the court.

Kyle Clifford Palmer was sentenced to 60 days for dangerous driving on May 23 that saw him motoring over lawns in a residential area. He was also imposed a two-year driving prohibition.

He was also sentenced to another 60 days consecutive for failing to stop for police in Charlottetown. He was a suspended driver at the time.

Palmer received a total of 45 days in jail for twice breaching no-contact orders.

A probation breach earned another 30 days of incarceration while failing to attend court resulted in a 30-day concurrent sentence.

Palmer was credited with 55 days for time already served, leaving him another 140 days to spend in jail.
