YARMOUTH, N.S. — A rescue medivac took place the afternoon of March 1, some 120 nautical miles south of Yarmouth.

Canadian Armed Forces, says they received a call from a fishing vessel, indicating they had a male crewmember on board requiring medical attention.
"It was determined that the man needed to be medivacked so we tasked the cormorant and a C130 Hercules about 2:30 p.m."
"They flew out to the vessel and hoisted the man on board and transported him to the Yarmouth hospital helipad," he says.
Owens could not provide information on the man's condition, only that it was serious enough to require a medivac.
It was a fairly routine operation and there were no issues at the time of the rescue, added Owens.
