CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — A 52-year-old Charlottetown man may face charges after police responded to a minor two-vehicle collision on Capital Drive just after 3 p.m. on Sept. 21.

While interacting with one of the drivers at the scene, Charlottetown police determined he was impaired by drugs and he was arrested.

An officer trained as a drug recognition expert confirmed the driver was under the influence of drugs and made the demand that a blood sample be provided.

Impaired driving charges are pending the blood sample toxicology results.

The man was released from custody with a 90-day driving prohibition order and the vehicle was impounded for 60 days.
