CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — A 45-year-old Charlottetown man faces dangerous driving and mischief charges following an incident that took place Friday evening.
At about 9:30 p.m. on May 22, Charlottetown police responded to a complaint of someone ramming their vehicle into another parked vehicle in a parking lot on Lower Malpeque Road.
Upon arrival, police located the suspect vehicle.
The driver displayed signs of impairment by drugs and was arrested. He is being charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and mischief under $5,000 dollars.
The man was brought to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital where a blood demand was ordered.
Impaired driving charges are pending the toxicology results of the blood sample.
The accused will appear in provincial court at a later date.
