CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — A 34-year-old Charlottetown man faces charges following an ongoing domestic violence investigation.
In relation to the domestic violence complaint on Nov. 26, Charlottetown police have charged the man with assault and two counts of failing to comply with a release order.
During the course of the arrest on Nov. 29, the man became unco-operative and combative with officers, which has resulted in further charges of assault, assaulting a police officer, resisting arrest, mischief under $5,000 and two counts of failing to comply with a release order.
The accused remains in custody and will appear in provincial court later this week.
