CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — A 45-year-old Charlottetown man faces drunk driving charges after he was pulled over by Charlottetown police Wednesday afternoon.
While on routine patrol at 3:45 p.m. on July 8, police observed a vehicle travelling on the Lower Malpeque Road with an expired registration sticker.
The vehicle was pulled over and it was determined the driver was impaired by alcohol and was arrested.
Breath sample results were more than twice the legal limit.
The man was subsequently charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and will appear in provincial court at a later date.
