CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — A 27-year-old Charlottetown man has been charged after police responded to a complaint of a sexual assault at a residence in Charlottetown on Jan. 16 at 7:45 p.m.
The incident was not at random and there is no risk to the public.
As the result of the investigation, the man has been charged with sexual assault with a weapon and breach of probation.
The accused was remanded in custody and was scheduled to appear in provincial court Monday.
