CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — A 41-year-old Charlottetown man has been charged after police responded to a disturbance complaint on Spring Park Road Wednesday evening.
Charlottetown police arrived at the scene at 5:45 p.m. and the female victim told them that a man walked by her residence when her dog, which was tied on a rope, began barking at him.
The man confronted the woman about her barking dog and ended up spitting on her and left the area.
He was located by police a short time later and was arrested and charged with assault.
He was released on conditions and will appear in provincial court at a later date.
