CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — A 41-year-old Charlottetown man has been charged after breaking into a downtown business.

At 3:20 p.m. on Tuesday, March 31, Charlottetown police responded to a break and enter in progress at a business on Queen Street.

While en route, police received a description of the suspect and located him at the corner of Great George and Grafton streets.

A foot chase ensued, and the suspect was apprehended a short distance later. He was arrested and charged with break and enter.

The accused has been released on conditions and will appear in provincial court at a later date.
